Global Freedom Prayer Meeting 
  On August 14, 1997, midnight (Indian time), prayer meets will be held throughout the world to :Salute Mother India Pray for the freedom, peace. and prosperity of India and the world Pay tribute to the great freedom fighters Pay homage to those innocent millions who lost their lives and dignity. India Darshan 
  India is one of the oldest living civilizations. It is a land rich in traditions and natural beauty. Indians have made great advances and contributions in various fields such as science, mathematics, astrology. astronomy, philosophy. arts; language, architecture, medicine and yoga.  These are the pillars of human civilization.  
Art exhibitions and multimedia presentations will be the main features of India Darshan.  These will include history. culture, arts, contributions to the world and the contemporary slate of the nation.  
India Darshan will show the world the long struggle Indians had to go through to preserve their life and culture from the hands of foreign invaders it will also show the courage Indians showed against all odds and the sacrifices they made to obtain freedom from oppression and 
Art & Essay Competition
Over $4000 in scholarship prizes will be awarded to students demonstrating creativity, clarity and sincerity in expressing their relationship to Bharat (India) or Bharatiya (Indian) culture.  Winners' names will be published in our Freedom Festival souvenior, posted on the World Wide Web and presented at various programs being held in USA and Canada.  Click Here for More . . . 
Conferences  
  Regional conferences will be held in various parts of the IISA and Canada to bring together people from various walks of life to celebrate life and liberty The conferences will provide great opportunities for all of us to learn more about the achievements. trials, and tribulations of the people of India. Study Centers  
  Regular study centers are being held throughout North America to discuss and learn various topics of interest ranging from history to philosophy to current society.  
Seminars  
  Day-long seminars will be organized on more than 50 campuses throughout North America to discuss and team about India. The seminars will include presentations by scholars and students. discussion. exhibits and shows. Click Here For More...  
Television & Radio Programs  
  The Freedom Festival 1997 committee will work closely with the local radio and TV stations to educate the listeners.  
High School Presentations  
  College students will plan to visit local high schools to talk about India and celebrate Freedom Festival 1997. 
Surveys  
  Various surveys and opinion polls will be conducted to find out about the opinions and perceptions of the general public in North America about india, its culture and its people.
