Nicobar

A group of 28 Islands in an area of 1841 sq. km., it is separated by a ten degree channel from Andamans.

Coconut, palm, casuarina and pandanus are found in abundance here.

Dark crab eating monkeys and pigeons are a common sight at Great & Little Nicobars.

Great Nicobar is also famous for the Megapode - a rare bird .

Indira Point in Great Nicobar Island is the southern most tip of India. Surprised! Yes, it is not Kanyakumari as generally considered.

Foreigners are not allowed to visit these islands at present. Indians also need special permission to visit these islands.
