25 km.  Scenically located on the right bank of the Ganga, Rishikesh is surrounded by the Himalayan mountains on three sides.  It is a great Hindu pilgrim centre as it is the base for commencing pilgrimages to holy shrines at Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath.

Lakshman Jhoola

30 km. A hanging jute rope bridge (without pillars hence its name) was rebuilt with iron ropes in 1889.

Neel Kanth Mahadev

12 km from Lakshman Jhoola.  This famous temple at a height of 1676 m offers a picturesque and grand sand view of the Himalayas.
