WHAT TO SEE

Lakshman Jhoola 

5 km A temple – town with its own distinct character.  The famous Lakshman Jhoola bridge rebuilt with iron ropes in 1889 replacing a jute rope bridge spans the venerated Ganga river.  Meditation centres, Yoga centre, temple and a number of ashrams and restaurants on both banks of the Ganga make the Lakshman Jhoola their vocal point.

Swargashram

A large and well organised pilgrim centre.

Sadanand Jhoola 

Near Swargashram.  Provides an alternative to boat-ride from one bank of the river to the other.

42 km. A picturesque valley at the foothills of the Shivalik ranges.

Haridwar

25 km.  A temple – town and great pilgrim centre where the river Ganga is venerated.

16 km.  Celebrated for its famous temple and scenic views.
