Bandhavgarh National Park

Area: 105.49 sq. km

Best time to visit: November to June. It remains closed from July to October.

Species found: Tiger, panther, gaur, chital, sambar, nilgai, chinkara, barking deer, bear, wild boar and a variety of upland birds.

How to reach: Khajuraho (230 kms) is the nearest airport. The nearest railheads are at Umaria (30 kms), Satna (117 kms), Katni (100 kms) and Jabalpur (164 kms). Bandhavgarh is situated on the Satna - Umaria and Rewa - Umaria Highway and is well connected by road.

Where to stay: White Tiger Forest Lodge (MPSTDC), Bandhavgarh Jungle Lodge, Tiger Trails, Forest Rest House, P.W.D. Rest House.
