AT A DISTANCE 

The villages near Madhopur town are famous for folk arts, especially for the decorative sketches (Mandana) which adorn the walls of the mud houses. The pet subjects of these Mandanas are animals, birds, flowers and village life. 

Siwad

40 km. from Sawai Madhopur and 3 km. from Isarda Railway Station is village Siwad where Dushmeshwar Mahadeo temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is situated. 

Rarneshwaram,

60 km. On the confluence of the Banas and Chambal rivers is Rameshwaram. It has a beautiful Shiva temple. 

Amareshwar Mahadeo Temple

On the way to Ranthambhor National Park, a place nestling in the high hills is Amareshwar Mahadeo temple. 

Khandar Fort

25 km. The imposing Khandar Fort is worth seeing.
