Shopping in Udaipur by itself is sightseeing for one has to wade one’s way through winding lanes, a maze of curio shops and a mosaic of crafted items on display. There are shops sprawled on embankments selling folk toys. Saree and garment shops are at every corner, in every street. Mementos carved out of wood, metal and cotton-puffed cloth are worth buying.
