LET'S START WITH SOME SIGHTSEEING

Sprawled across 240 acres of land is Lalbagh - a beautiful park begun by Hyder Ali in 1760 and completed by Tipu Sultan. It houses over 1,800 species of rare herbs, plants and centuries-old trees. The Glass House here, was inspired by the Crystal Palace in London and is the venue of the colourful Flower Show.

Bangalore Palace, modelled on the lines of the Windsor Castle, was built in the Tudor style, by a Wodeyar king in 1887.

The Bull Temple is said to have been constructed in the 16th century. It has a 15 feet high monolith of Nandi, the sacred bull that carries Lord Shiva.
