Sibsagar

It was the capital of Ahom kingdom for more than 600 years. Its main feature is the water body from which it derives its name. Other attractions include Rang Ghar, Talatol Ghar, Jai Sagar, etc.

How to reach: Well connected by road. Distance from Guwahati is 369 kms, from Jorhat 56 kms and Dibrugarh 80 kms, which are also well connected by air and rail.

Excursions: Karingar, Charaideo and Namdang Stone Bridge.
