Puri

Puri, situated on the eastern coast of Orissa, is a magnificent beach resort and is one of the four great Hindu pilgrim centres.

How to reach: Puri has direct trains from Calcutta, New Delhi and Bhubaneswar (60 kms) and can be reached by road via Konark and the Marine Drive.

Where to stay: OTDC hotels, Panthanivas, Panthabhawan (Mahodadhinivas).

What to see: Jagannath Temple, Gundicha Ghar, Indradyumna Tank, Sakshi Gopal and Atharnala Bridge.
