How to reach: At present Aizawal is connected by Indian Airlines flight to Calcutta. The nearest railhead is Silchar. Some of the distances are Guwahati-506 kms, Imphal-374 kms, Kohima 497 kms, Agartala-443 kms.

Where to stay: Government Lodges, Circuit House, State Guest House, Ritz Hotel, Hotel Ahimsa, Hotel Sangchia etc.

What to see: Mizoram State Museum, Borabazar, the Weaving Centre, the mini Zoological Park, Durtlang Hills and Luangmual Handicrafts Centre.

Excursions: Bung and Paikhai(15-16 kms), Tamdil, Vantawng Waterfalls, Champhai (192 kms).

Entry formalities: Domestic tourists require Inner Line Permits (ILP) from any of the Liasion Officers posted in Mizoram House at various places.

For foreign tourists Restricted Area Permit can be obtained for a group of four members or more, from the Resident Commissioner, Mizoram House, New Delhi or Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India, New Delhi.
