Sahelion Ki Bari

On the eastern banks of lake Fateh Sagar is Sahelion Ki Bari - the garden for the maids of the queen built by Maharana Sangram Singh in the mid-18th century. The spectacular garden has four pools ornate with delicately chiselled kiosks and elephants in marble. Surrounded by beautiful fountains, the garden has a lotus pool, a sitting room decorated with paintings and glass mosaics.

Maharana Pratap Memorial

Moti Magri hill skirting the Feteh Sagar Lake has been developed as a memorial to this bravest son of the India, Maharana Pratap who had to face the mighty Mughal Emperor Akbar.

On an elevated platform is an imposing statue of the Maharana in bronze alloy astride his favourite horse – ‘Chetak’.

Lake Fateh Sagar

The lake is artificial and was dug up by Maharana Jai Singh in 1678 and re-structured by Maharana Fateh Singh.

The dam on the lake is 2,800 feet long and its maximum depth is 35 feet.

Jag Mandir

There is an island palace, in addition to Lake Palace, in Lake Pichola, marked by a three-storey tower topped by a dome. The structure is made of yellow sandstone marble slabs and coloured stones.

Jagdish Temple

The shrine, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, was built by Maharana Jagat Singh in 1651. Approachable by a broad flight of steps, the shrine is on a rectangular platform 7.6 metres rising to a height of 24 metres.
