Daman and Diu
The Union Territory of Daman & Diu is situated along border of the state of Gujarat. It was, a colony held by the Portuguese till 1961, when it was made an integral part of India and was part of the Union Territory of Goa, Daman & Diu. After Goa was given statehood in 1987, Daman & Diu was made a separate Union Territory.
How To Reach : Diu is connected by air with Mumbai. The nearest railhead for visiting Daman is Vapi (12 kms) on the Mumbai - Ahmedabad line and for Diu, the nearest railhead is Delwada (9 kms), connected via Veraval (85 kms) by meter gauge line. Daman is 193 kms from Mumbai, 367 kms from Ahmedabad and 763 kms from Diu, whereas Diu is 930 kms from Mumbai, 495 kms from Ahmedabad and 97 kms from Chorwad.

Dadra and Nagar Haveli
The Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli is wedged between the highly industrialised cities of Mumbai, Surat & Vapi. It was administered by Portuguese colonialists and later after it's liberation, by a local administration till 1961, when it was merged with the Indian Union, Silvassa is the capital of the Union Territory.
How To Reach : Vapi (115 kms), on the Western Railway line is the nearest railhead. Silvassa is 168 kms from Mumbai, 44 kms From Daman and 380 kms from Ahmedabad.
Where To Stay : Hotel Ras Resort, Woodlands, Natraj, Kamat's Holiday resort and a wide range of budget accommodation available Silvassa.
