Allahabad is a city built at the junction of three rivers, two of which - the Ganga and the Yamuna are the lifelines of the Indian subcontinent. The third river Saraswati is now extinct but exists in mythological folklore. It has also been a learning centre with one of the oldest universities of India located here.

How to reach: Nearest airports are at Varanasi, Lucknow and Kanpur. Trains from all metros and major cities cross Allahabad. Well connected by road. Some major distances are: Ayodhya-167 kms, Varanasi-125 kms, Agra 433 kms, Delhi-643 kms.
