Shivpuri

Once the summer capital of the Scindias of Gwalior and famous for the Madhav National Park, which is rich in wild life.

How to reach: Nearest airport is Gwalior (112 kms) and the rallhead is Jhansi (100 kms). It is also connected by road with important cities and towns. Regular bus services connect Shivpuri with Gwalior, Orchha and Jhansi.

Where to stay: Tourist Village and Chinkara Motel (MPSTDC).

What to see: Scindia chhatries, George Castle, Madhav National Park, Madhav Vilas Pa lace, Sakhya Sagar Boat Club.
