Situated on the banks of the rivers Saraswati and Khan, a city originally founded by Rani Ahilyabai Holkar.

How to reach: Indore is connected by air with Bhopal, Delhi, Gwalior and Mumbai. It is a railhead on the Western Railway line and is well connected by road with Agra (605 kms), Bhopal (187 kms), Delhi (809 kms), Gwalior (486 kms), Khajuraho (575 kms), Mumbai (602 kms), Ujjain (53 kms).
