Omkareshwar

This sacred place is situated at the confluence of the rivers Narmada and Kaveri. The temple of Shri Omkar Mandhata here is one of the 12 jyotirlingas.

How to reach: Omkareshwar is well connected by road with Indore (77 kms). The nearest airport is at Indore. Nearest railhead is Omkareshwar Road (12 kms) on the Ratlam-Khandwa section of Western Railway. Regular buses connect Omkareshwar with Omkareshwar Road, Indore, Ujjain and Khandwa.

Where to stay: Holkar Guest House, Forest Rest House and Dharamshalas.

What to see: Shri Omkar Mandhata, Siddhnath Temple, 24 Avatars, Satmatrika Temple, Kajal Rani Cave.
